Looking up through Scots Pine

Today in the Garden I was pondering how we might find a way to write-with these beings without using human centred language or anthropomorphic personification. It is so easy to slip into the words we connect to our own bodies, but what are the Pine's 'arms' or 'fingers' called? A point for further research!

Perhaps I can write in my human voice, and then begin a translation into another language. A language not made up of words but of scent or texture, or more excitingly - something I have yet to speculate!
