deeper the shadows, brighter the light
This exhibition was the culmination of a four-week artist residency in the Project Space of WASPS Meadow Mill. This time was framed as an exploration of representational drawing as a mode of attention offered to objects that have been found, formed, and reinterpreted through digital means (3D modelling, photocopying, etc.).
Working from a series of distorted photocopier images of objects, I completed nine large representational graphite drawings. Accompanying the drawings was an installation of the objects
During the residency, I welcomed a cohort of art students from University of the Highlands and Islands for a studio visit.
