Emergent words from The Living Lab: Journal of Education for Sustainability Research.

A favourite method for writing poetry, and one which I think is particularly useful as I begin to write-with the Garden, is Found and Erasure poetry. I have been away from Dundee for a couple of weeks performing some field research, thus I have been unable to visit the garden in person. Instead I have spent some quality time with the inaugural copy of The Living Lab: Journal of Education for Sustainability Research which offers a distinct snapshot of the Garden, 50 years after its inception, and its more recent engagement with research.

As I read through the texts, words and phrases shimmer on the page, resonant with potential connections and further interpretations. My pencil draws a border around each word and piece of text that appears to vibrate above the surface, drawn together to form a sequence of short bursts of thought.
