Stone lithography printing involves a different rhythm, stretching time until one becomes enveloped in the process. The entire process is meditative, slower than other printing methods, while undulating through a multitude of steps. The repetitive act of dampening the stone is a constant that remains as important as the inking. Hand cranking the handle of the press engages not just the hand but engages the whole mind and body.
